Learning & participation journeys
The core of Kia Hākinakina continues to be a teacher support model designed to positively impact curriculum settings through play, game play and fundamental and functional movement activation and support.
Supporting Kaiako, every step of the way
- Teacher support mechanisms
- Alignment to PE planning
- Integration of curriculum aligned leadership approaches
- Joint understanding of outcomes
Close to 50 Game Play resources
Non-sport specific games for our workforce and Kaiako in our supported settings, designed to align to a non-linear pedagogical approach to learning and skill acquisition.
Partner schools
Across 2023, Kia Hākinakina formed partnerships and was directly engaged with these school settings. Each school received term-on-term weekly (or fortnightly, depending on need) activation for their entire teaching staff and student populations.
