Patrick Wootton

Sport & Community Quality Activator

My name's Patrick and I've been part of Kia Hākinakina for the past eighteen months. In my role as a Sport & Community Quality Activator, I deliver physical activity and play programmes across schools, helping tamariki build their confidence, skills, and love for being active.

What I've learned quickly is that sport isn't just about developing skills. It's about creating connections, building resilience, and giving kids the belief that they can achieve in their own way. Through this mahi, I've seen the real impact of finding the balance between play and development.
